Among the cities you have ever visited/stayed, which city is the most impressive
Vancouver. Because it has a vast collection of culture and diversity, each contributing to the persona of Vancouver. This is clearly demonstrated in the cuisine it has to offer. Since 2002, Tourism Vancouver has put together a Dine Out festival, celebrating the act of eating and sharing among your friends and community. I’m truly grateful to experience and be a part of this event every year
Places you wish to visit
Paris. Because I am passionate about arts, music and pop culture so Paris would be the ideal city for me to visit. It is the capital of fashion and culture of historic and modern arts
Favourite Artist
Lady Gaga
Artists you wish to collaborate with
Andrew Garfield
Favourite Miss Chinese Vancouver
Linda Chung. (MCVP 2003 Champion) Because she is smart, beautiful, hardworking and with all her success, she continues to be humble
Which bodily parts are you most satisfied with
Body figure. I love food and I eat a lot but I remain slim and healthy
Do you have any expectations towards the pageant
I hope to learn more about myself, advance my presentation skills and develop teamwork proficiency
What areas do you want to better yourself
I want to develop my performance skills in front of a big audience
Reasons for joining the pageant
First of all, my younger brother who is diagnosed with autism and epilepsy has inspired me to join the pageant. According to experts, there is no cure for his condition but there are ways to control it. I studied the Sociology of medical science and mental illness to gain a better understanding of his condition and people with similar experiences. I think that being involved in the pageant will provide me the opportunity to network with numerous organizations and help them spread the awareness and much more. On the other hand, I remember how beautiful the pageants were when I watched Miss Hong Kong in 1996 for the first time with my family. Ever since that moment, I knew I wanted to one day be a part of the beauty pageant and share this journey with my friends and family
What do you think is the most beautiful object or incident in the world
No object in this world is more beautiful than love and compassion. We ought to free ourselves by expanding our circle of compassion to embrace human diversity, nature and its beauty
Who is your female role model
J.K. Rowling. Although she was rejected by 12 different publishing houses, she never gave up because she believed in her work. Till this day, Harry Potter is the best-selling book series in history.
Why do you think you will excel at this pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver
Being born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, I have experienced both cultures. The key to the world of culture is language and I can fluently converse in both native language, English and Cantonese. Should I win, I will best represent Miss Chinese Vancouver on an international level
If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world
If I won this competition, as Miss Chinese Vancouver and an elder sister with a brother who is diagnosed with autism and epilepsy, I will raise public awareness by sharing my experience to encourage others to help these individuals and their family to create a supportive community
This year is Fairchild Television 20th Anniversary, what would you choose as a gift to celebrate
I would choose to bake a cake for Fairchild TV to celebrate its 20th Anniversary because on my 20th birthday, my mom made me a cheesecake. It was better than anything that could have been bought from a store; and I want Fairchild TV to share the same happiness as I did
