Which city do you think will be the best place to realize your dream: Beijing, China. I was born in Beijing, and immigrated to Vancouver when I was 12; therefore, I am very familiar with both of these places. I hope to be a “cultural-exchanging bridge” between the East and the West. In the West, the spirit of volunteering has ingrained deeply in everyone’s heart. I am confident in bringing the advanced charity structure from the West back to China to support the nonprofit organizations as well as the people in need there

Among the cities you have ever visited / stayed, which city is the most impressive: Vancouver. Because I have found the things I cherish here. Not only has it shaped my values, but it has also cultivated my loving and devoting spirits

Places you wish to visit: Africa. During my 3rd year in UBC, I applied for volunteering in Kenya. However, I was not admitted. I knew I was not ready at that time, both physically and mentally. However, I was determined from that point to equip and build myself! I hope one day, I will have the ability to volunteer in Africa

Favorite Miss Chinese Vancouver & why: Leanne Li (MCVP 2004 Champion) I once saw her during school and felt that she was very humble and approachable. I love her friendly and graceful personality

Which bodily parts are you most satisfied with: Eyes. Because a woman's beauty is revealed from the eyes. The eyes are the windows of the soul, is the place where love resides

Do you have any expectations towards the pageant: I am eager to go beyond my comfort zone and explore my full potentials through this pageant. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to supporting, encouraging, and building myself together with the other nine girls. Most importantly I am looking to enjoy the process of chasing my dreams

What areas do you want to better yourself: I am more introverted person, yet there are so many beautiful things in me waiting to be brought out. I hope that through this competition, my characteristics and full potential can be shown bravely on stage

Reasons for joining the pageant: I have had this dream since the age of 14. To me, Miss Chinese Vancouver is not just a pageant. It’s a mission. It’s a mission of love and dedication. I want to be an ambassador, passing love and devoting spirit to my community, as well as to the people in need

What do you think is the most beautiful object or incident in the world: “A woman’s beauty is not shown just superficially, but spiritually as well. It is her solicitude, her love and her passion.” To me, being real and sincere is most beautiful

Who is your female role model: Audrey Hepburn. In addition to her success as an actress, she’s also noble and loving person. She once said "People have two hands, one for helping themselves, the other for helping others." Her kindness influences people worldwide. She is an example of what true beauty is

Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver: I am a person full of positive energy. My persistent pursuit of personal growth and devotion influences people in a positive way. Thanks to my wonderful parents, who helped me build my upright character and academic ability, I have grown to be a good role model to others

If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world: If I won this contest, I would make worthy and wise use of this title. I would fully devote myself into charity work. I would feel with my heart where and what the need is, and then encourage society to take action together, pass on love, and bring positive influence to the people in need

This year is Fairchild Television 20th Anniversary, what would you choose as a gift to celebrate: An album of this year’s pageant by collecting picture of both on stage and behind the scenes. It will contain all hard work and moving moments of the staff and the ten beautiful girls
