Dreams: Travel around the world, have a successful career in Public Relations, act in a comedy TV series, and become a host on a cooking show

Which city do you think will be the best place to realize your dream: Vancouver. Since I’m from the small city of Victoria, Vancouver is the best city for me to realize my dream as I am currently living it now! Due to the fact that Vancouver is such a big city the opportunities are endless and there is always something to do. In Vancouver, you have a freedom of choice, which is just one of the many reasons why I love this city! There are many various diverse cuisines to choose from, a variety of events at the many theatres and venues that Vancouver has to offer, numerous exhibits and museums, and regional parks to see

Among the cities you have ever visited: Bangkok, Thailand. Because of the culture it exuberates, everywhere you go there are exotic infrastructures surrounding you! Bangkok’s temples, such as the four face Buddha and the Wat Pho temple, which situated one of the largest Buddha statues, impressed me the most because every statue and temple was designed very meticulously, hence why they were so strikingly beautiful

Places you wish to visit: Milan. Because fashion is one of my passions and Milan is the best fashion capital of the world to explore my niche

Artistes you wish to collaborate with: Jessica Alba, Laurieann Gibson, and Kimora Lee Simmons

Favorite Miss Chinese Vancouver: Linda Chung (MCVP 2003 Champion) Because her journey has been inspirational after Miss Chinese Vancouver, she has established a name for herself not only in acting but also in the music industry as well

Do you have any expectations towards the pageant?: I expect to represent Vancouver by setting an example for younger generations and to show that this competition is not just about beauty but about setting your goals and accomplishing them

What areas do you want to better yourself?: I would like to better myself by learning Mandarin in the duration of this competition

Reasons for joining the pageant: Since I am so young, I chose to enter this competition to increase my confidence. Through the process, I am learning more things about myself and my culture

What do you think is the most beautiful object or incident in the world: The signing of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Because with the charter, we Canadians have the freedom of thought, religion, belief, and expression, which brings up the question of weather or not our freedom is the most beautiful thing to other people from around the world. Maybe that’s why people come to Canada to live the Canadian dream

Who is your female role model: Oprah Winfrey. Because she is relatable and honest, she has a unique quality that allows her to influence people to be aware of issues that we face as a society. She is a true media icon that I hope to become like

Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver: I think I will excel because I am a fast learner and like to practice, which will definitely help me towards my final performance on the show day

If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world: If I won the title of Miss Chinese Vancouver I would collaborate with the local foundations such as BC Cancer foundation, SUCCESS foundation, and Children’s Hospital, to come up with innovative ideas and messages to help spread awareness and create a worldwide movement

This year is Fairchild Television 20th Anniversary, what would you choose as a gift to celebrate: I would choose myself as a gift to celebrate because Fairchild Television and I have something in common. We were born in the same year! So as Fairchild grows and prospers I will be able to embark on the journey to grow and prosper with the network too
