Dreams: To be a social worker that specializes in helping people with disabilities

Which city do you think will be the best place to realize your dream: Any place or city where there are people with disabilities. Because helping others does not have to be confined to any one place

Among the cities you have ever visited / stayed, which city is the most impressive: Taiwan. Because that was the place where I first went on vacation together with my sister and gave me a lot of good memories. We met many passionate Taiwanese friends on that trip. These new friends showed us around, visited different locations and let us taste the local delicacies.

Places you wish to visit: Africa. Because I want to go there and meet the African child whom I sponsor. I want to support him and other children who live in poverty

Favorite Miss Chinese Vancouver: Eliza Sam (MCVP 2009 Champion) Because of her determination and motivated personality, drives me to learn and improve myself

Do you have any expectations towards the pageant: I hope to build lasting friendships with all the other contestants of the pageant

What areas do you want to better yourself: I believe that, for myself, there is always room for improvement. I need to learn and continuously improve with a humble attitude

Reasons for joining the pageant: I joined this pageant to challenge myself, to increase in knowledge and understanding, and to gain precious experience

What do you think is the most beautiful object or incident in the world: The aura that comes from confidence and a kind heart

Who is your female role model: Mrs. Lilian To. Because she greatly contributed to society when she was still with us. For example, through S.U.C.C.E.S.S. she helped new immigrants settle in Canada and helped people with mental disabilities. This aspect of her work coincides with my own ideals to support people with disabilities. Up to the day before she left us, Mrs. To was still attending related social functions. Therefore, I admire her professionalism, and I believe that many people will acknowledge her spirit of altruism

Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver: I give my heart and soul in everything that I do, striving towards my goal with courage

If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world: I hope to represent Vancouver and the city’s culture and character. For example, Canada is not only a multi-cultural country, but it is also a place where we learn to respect and understand one another’s cultural backgrounds. Also, I hope to give more attention to families that live in poverty so that I can help and support them

This year is Fairchild Television 20th Anniversary, what would you choose as a gift to celebrate: Turtle. Because turtles are special for their longevity and have a very stalwart shell, meaning Fairchild Television will always have amazing programs and a sound structure, and its employees will always have be of the same mind
