It's Monday, let’s make it a good one by enlightening our minds and enriching my hair with a nice oil treatment.
Yay yeah, let's eat!
I'm sure we can all agree that Mom's home-cooked meal are always the best☺
Amazing sushi, incredibly fresh sashimi and great service. It was my first time trying out this place and I will definitely come back!
I’ve got a perfect puzzle for you.
Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-dee,
If you are wise you’ll listen to me.
All you need is love but a box of chocolate now and then is even better!
It’s difficult to know what to expect when someone you love very much is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Before my grandma passed away from breast cancer on December/31st/2007, she went through numerous medical treatments. In addition to chemotherapy, she had to undergo skin grafts in which a layer of skin from her thigh was taken and placed over her chest where the cancer was supposedly removed. Despite the doctor revealing that she has 3 months left to live, my courageous grandma battled cancer for 4 more years. Till this day, mom, Richard and I still miss you.
I remember watching Miss Hong Kong 1996 for the first time with my grandma. Since that moment, I knew I wanted to one day be a part of this beauty pageant and share this journey with my friends and family. 婆婆, I will do my best in this competition, raise awareness for Canadian Cancer Society and make you proud of me!
Y'all definitely scream and shout, and let it all out. Thank you for showing support, I really appreciate it ♥
What do you do when people sing "Happy Birthday" to you?
A) sing along
B) look around
C) sit there trying to figure out what to do
D) pull a Brenda (try to figure out who we're singing for so I can photobomb...oh wait...what's going on?...oh right it's my birthday)
Thanks everyone, honestly wasn't expecting this but what a great surprise @ FTV
Round 2: another birthday celebration but this time with my dear family and friends

大家好! 我是10號 Brenda Cheng! Today was the official announcement of 溫哥華華裔小姐2013. The press conference was held at Sea Harbour by River Rock Casino. It's the first time for us girls to see our official photo and promo video. Lunch was generously provided by our sponsor and special thanks to FTV's crew, the talented MUA and the amazing hair stylist. What a wonderful day!
Today the team pretty much worked from 3PM-1AM for our final video. Our schedule was tight so we didn't have time for dinner except for snacks during the break. Anyways, time to go home, watch family guy and chow down on my late night snack after a long day of video shooting!!!
I scream. You scream. We all scream for...
ICE FLAKES!!!

This is my younger brother Richard who is diagnosed with epilepsy and autism. It is essential for him to take epilepsy drugs: clobazam, depakote, dilantin, stiripentol on a daily basis to make life possible. These drugs can control his seizures but they are no means to a cure. The adverse effect includes nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite which led him to a dramatic weight loss. Biweekly ambulance rides and hospital stays are common. Nonetheless, Richard remains strong and positive. And guess what? Smile because it’s time for us to go home!
On behalf of Richard, I would like to thank the BC’s Children’s Hospital for all their help. Thank you.
Dance Training: My arm and leg coordination definitely need to improve with more practice. Our dance routine consists of umbrella props with kneeling and rolling on my back movement on the wooden floor. Every time I roll on the floor and try to get up, I could hear the sound of my spine clicking. Kneeling wasn’t so bad because we wore knee pads. With the umbrella props, I was standing too close to one of the girls and this is what happened…BAM
Promo Video Shoot II
Check out behind the scene of my 1st video promo shoot and a sneak peak of how I prep for my interview ;)
Pretty excited for my hair makeover, hope it goes well!
Voilà! I'm loving it, what do you guys think?
As usual, I requested a large dose of local anaesthetic for my wisdom tooth surgery because I have low pain tolerance. My dentist had to slit open my gum before drilling my tooth into 4 small pieces in order to pull it out. My operation took longer than expected. Within an hour, I swear my anaesthesia wore off twice. How do I know this? Well because I felt sharp pain in the back of my ear. Anyhow, my dentist delivered extra local in a different area to freeze the accessory nerves.
After the procedure, I was drowsy, my head was so numb and it felt like my face was melting. I popped 2 Advil and a couple of antibiotics, chased it with water and ended up drooling. Oh so lady like. I could barely concentrate during the website tutorial but by the time I arrived to the beauty seminar, my face no longer felt like gravity was pulling it down. Here's what I looked like 5 hours post-operative!
