Tomorrow is our big day!!

在这三个月里面，我们每一天都过得特别的充实，真的不敢相信明天就是show day了！我觉得参加温哥华华裔小姐2013最大的收获就是认识了一斑心地善良，美丽动人的女生们。她们现在就像我的姐姐或妹妹，我们都互相扶持，为彼此加油，有着共同的目标，而那就是希望show day能呈现我们最好的一面给大家看。

One week till show day!

Can't believe there's only one week left till show day! Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant has been such an incredible experience for me. I've made so many lasting friendships with not only the girls, but with the Fairchild team as well. I just want to thank Fairchild for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity to better myself in every way. It's been a pleasure working alongside such talented and amazing people!

During the convocation I had mixed feelings -feelings of fulfillment and sadness, anxiety and eagerness. It's sad that I have to say goodbye to the secure life within the school walls, but I'm ready to pursue my dreams and start a new chapter in my life!

從小到大我跟我哥哥的感情特別的好。哥哥是最了解我的人，也是我最好的朋友。哥哥畢業後回去香港工作了，所以我們就分隔兩地，各自為自己的夢想而努力。真的很開心哥哥能夠回來見證我的成長，在我身旁為我加油！真的有太多的事情想跟他分享，也想聽聽他所有的故事＝）

今天我看了一篇很有意思的文章。文章里面写着：“神说所谓幸福是有一颗感恩的心,一位忠诚的爱人,一个健康的身体,一份称心的工作,一帮信赖的朋友,当你收到此信息,一切将随之拥有!怀着一颗感恩的心你会终身幸福快乐”

最近虽然压力比较大，可是当我想到家人和朋友给我的支持，以及一些导师和工作人员给我的鼓励就会觉得自己特别的的幸福。我要学习每天怀着感恩的心，把所有的烦恼都抛在脑后，相信神会预备最好的给我。

In our busy world, it is so easy to go down the slippery slide of neglecting health in our want for convenience. For example, we might turn to microwave cooking instead of making ourselves a nutritious meal, even if it means that we'd be exposed to microwave radiation. As exposure to microwave radiation promotes cancer growth, I hope that you guys will follow My One Thing, which is "choose fresh foods over microwaved-foods," and live a happy and healthy life.

Pray for the Philippines

My thoughts and prayers go out to those effected in the Philippines. I have relatives and friends living near the central Phillipines, so my heart is very heavy as I watch all the lastest news on the damages and rising death tolls caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

To Maria,

No matter what happens I am here for you, because you are like family to me. Let us pray together for the safety of your family and all the people in the effected areas.

First stop: perfect first day

As I was waiting for the other 9 girls to show up for the first meeting of MCVP 2013, I felt a sudden surge of happiness and relief.  I realized that Jennifer and Elma, two of the 4 girls in my interview group, also made it to Top 10! Honestly, before seeing all the girls I was quite nervous because I was unsure of how things would turn out. However, in the end everything turned out to be absolutely perfect! Within minutes, I instantly clicked with Tracy and Brenda, and the three of us along with Jennifer  went shopping for our carry-on supplies. Haha not to mention I also got my favorite #7 as my pageant number!!  Things indeed started well that day and I will always remember to count my blessings instead of worrying for the future.
